Fieldwork

Archaeological survey of the areas between Masullas and Gonnoscodina, west-central Sardinia, held in November 2021 with the students from the University of Ca’ Foscari and the University of Ferrara.

At the core of my work is archaeological fieldwork: excavating sites, surveying landscapes, and uncovering traces of past human—and non-human—activity. Fieldwork is the first necessary step in reconstructing history, providing the evidence that forms the foundation of research: interpretation.

Over the years, I have worked on numerous archaeological sites across the world. My experience spands more than fifty sites in Greater London, Cambridge, and Oxford; the site of Khirbat Al-Mafjar in Jericho, Palestine; and Interamna Lirenas, in central Italy. My primary research, however, focuses on Sardinia, where I have contributed to excavations and surveys of over twenty sites.
