Here you can find some photographs I have taken during some of the archaeological excavations, conferences, and exhibitions I have taken part in around the world.

Snowed on evaluation trench in Arborfield site, Wokingham (February 2015).
Dogs on site, carefully attending the excavation of the Iron Age pit, East London (May 2016).
Shepherd dogs observing our archaeological survey from a distance in Masullas, central Sardinia (November 2021).
Boots off. Lunch break at nuraghe Seruci on the nearby beach of Porto Paglia, Sardinia, (December 2019 – yes, December in Sardinia!).
Drawing an excavated pit in the countryside of Oxford (January 2018).
A very windy site in the Oxford countryside (February 2017).
View of the gulf of Pan di Zucchero, Nebida (Ad Metalla in Latin), southwest Sardinia, from atop nuraghe Seruci (November 2024).
Sunrise over the nuraghe Seruci and its trees bent by the dominant southwest winds, Gonnesa, Sardinia (November 2019).
Confusion on site: keeping the cabin’s floor or the jacket clean? West London (February 2018).
Finalising the excavation of a Roman period burial in west London (April 2017).
A muddy evaluation trench in Arborfield, Wokingham (December 2014).
Weather conditions have a strong impact on archaeological sites and on the safety on site. Can an archaeological site freeze? It did, as did our ramp, which helped us keep the wheelbarrow’s wheel clear of the mud while running to the spoil heap in west London (February 2017).
